U.S. Open 2023 Picks, Odds, Courses, Dates: The PGA’s Surprising Predictions Follow the Golf Pattern That Nailed 9 Majors

The 2023 US Open kicks off on Thursday, June 15, and bettors are starting to place bets on the third major golf tournament of the year. Scottie Scheffler, the world No. 1, could be among the top betting picks at the 2023 US Open stadium. Scheffler has recorded two wins this season and secured a runner-up finish in the US. Opened a year ago. Scheffler is a 17-2 favorite at US Open 2023 odds from Caesars Sportsbook. Jon Rahm is next on the PGA odds table with a score of 9-1, followed by Rory McIlroy (10-1) and Brooks Koepka (12-1).

Before locking down your 2023 US Open picks or entering any PGA DFS tournaments on sites like DraftKings and FanDuel, remember see the predictions and projected rankings of the US Open 2023 from proven computer modeling at SportsLine.

Our proprietary model, built by DFS expert Mike McClure, has been super hot since the PGA Tour resumed in June 2020. In fact, this model has raised over $8,700 la for the best bets since reboot, tournament after tournament.

McClure’s modeling predicted Jon Rahm to top the leaderboards at the 2023 Sentry Champions League and The American Express. And at the 2023 Masters, the model overtook Rahm’s second major career win of the weekend. Rahm fell two strokes behind the leader to get to the third round, but the model still predicted him the winner. This is the second consecutive Masters championship for this model, as well as a victory for Scottie Scheffler in 2022.

Also, the pattern includes Nick Hardy and Davis Riley in the best bets to win at Zurich Classic 2023. That bet hit +4500 and over the entire tournament McClure’s best bets collected about more than 1,100 dollars. McClure’s best bets also include Jason Day’s outright win at AT&T Byron Nelson 2023, even though he hasn’t won a PGA Tour event since 2018.

This same model also hit a whopping nine majors by the end of the week. Anyone who has followed it has received huge profits.

Now that the 2023 US Open is taking shape, SportsLine has simulated the tournament 10,000 times and the results are surprising. Visit SportsLine now to see the projected US Open 2023 standings.

US Open 2023 Top Predictions

One big surprise the model is calling for at the 2023 US Open: Cameron Smith, a six-time PGA Tour champion and one of the favorites, stumbles this week and barely makes the top 15. He won the Open 2022 championship, but he didn’t finish in the top five at either of the major championships this season. Smith was outside the top 30 at the Masters in April, shooting 4 points above par.

He finished ninth at the PGA Championship in the second major tournament of the year, but never competed for the title. Smith has struggled at the US Open in recent years, not making it to the top 35 since his debut in 2015. He’s missed out at both of the last two US Opens, so the model doesn’t see any any value in backing Smith with short golf odds in this year’s edition. See which golfer to fade here.

Another surprise: Viktor Hovland, whose scoreline was 25-1, won the title in a strong way. He’s a target for anyone looking for a good payday. Hovland is a long hitter averaging more than 305 yards per drive this season. Hovland’s ability to put the ball deep into the fairway has allowed him to use his short iron on approach shots. That deadly combination put the 25-year-old seventh in number of strokes to the green (0.848).

Hovland has proven he can compete with the best golfers in the world, finishing in the top 10 at this season’s Arnold Palmer Invitational, Players Championship and Masters. See who else to choose here.
