Former President Donald Trump launched its third campaign for the White House on Tuesday with some strong offers to lawmakers.
The former President — who has applied for President again after winning in 2016 and humiliatingly lost in 2020 — has asked lawmakers to pass legislation providing for the death penalty. to drug dealers in his official announcement of his 2024 presidential candidacy.
“America’s comeback begins now,” he said, officially kicking off the 2024 Republican primaries.
“To make America great and glorious again, tonight I announce my candidacy for president of the United States.”

“The vast majority of crime waves are caused by drug traffickers who, over their lifetime, will kill an average of 500 Americans. Think about that. A drug dealer. You see, one drug dealer kills 500 people on average.”
Trump shared more statistics about the illegal drug trade in the US without citing the source to his supporters while calling for the death penalty.
“I am calling for the death penalty for drug dealers and traffickers, when passed, this law will reduce the distribution of drugs and reduce crime in our country by at least 75 percent.”
