Trump, for his part, said a few months ago that he won’t come back to the platform even as Musk reverses the ban. He began his message on Friday by touting Truth Social and claiming without proof or specifics that the fledgling platform “had a larger number” last week “than all other platforms, including TikTok, Twitter, Facebook and the rest.”

“Twitter must now work hard to get rid of all the bots and fake accounts that have hurt it so badly,” Trump wrote on Friday. “It will be much smaller, but better.”
