Trump muzzles prosecutors who won’t oppose ex-president’s bid to delay sentencing

Manhattan prosecutors said Tuesday they did not oppose the former President’s request. Donald Trump postponed sentencing in his criminal gagging case while he seeks to overturn his conviction.

Lawyers for the Republican presidential nominee launched the campaign on Monday, tying the move to a landmark Supreme Court ruling that former presidents enjoy “temporary immunity” from any official acts they take while in office.
