Catering to the Indian subcontinent, motorcycle manufacturers Victory and Bajaj is cooperating to launch small displacement motorcycles. Slated for this July 5, the partnership will likely see two small bikes launched at 400 cc or less, reports carandbike.com.
Only one teaser image has been released of the upcoming Triumph Bajaj bike. From what can be seen, the lines of the fuel tank and ribbed saddle suggest that this will be a model in the nostalgic style of Triumph Bonneville.
Spy shots and reports from around the internet suggest that the new bike models will be a sports bike and off-road vehicle. The small classic bike market in India is dominated by Royal Enfield.
According to a statement by Bajaj Auto CEO Rajiv Bajaj, the two models will be launched globally later this month on June 27 at Triumph’s headquarters in Hinckley, UK. Assembly will take place at the Bajaj plant in Chakan, Pune.
