Toyota recalls 96,000 Corolla Cross cars because of airbag problems
Toyota announced that it was remember 96,000 examples of 2022 and 2023 Corolla of the Cross SUVs in the US The recall affects only non-hybrid versions and it concerns passengers air bag. Apparently there was a manufacturing defect that could have prevented the passenger side airbag from deploying properly. Obviously, this could lead to additional injury in a crash if the airbag fails to function properly.
To remedy this situation, Toyota will conduct an inspection of the vehicles affected by the recall to find fault with the dashboard. If necessary, yours seller Service department will replace dash parts with new ones.
The company also states that until the affected vehicles are inspected and/or repairpeople should not sit in their front passenger seat cross corolla. The company will contact the owners by the end of July to let them know about the matter. Owners can also access Toyota.com/recall or nhtsa.gov/recalls to see if their vehicle is affected.
