Toyota Energy Storage, Mercedes EQB, Ford CEO details on EV launch: Car News Today

The automotive industry is geared towards a big shift and a price war on electric cars? During a financial conference this week, Ford CEO Jim Farley explained how the company would need to change its ways. From simplifying vehicles and selling directly to consumers, to focusing more on aerodynamics, efficiency and operating costs, top Ford executives emphasize that pivoting the business industry requires a holistic approach.

Toyota has revealed a house battery energy storage system that’s similar in concept to Tesla’s Powerwall. Despite having a storage capacity of just 8.7 kWh, the component set could potentially draw AC power from a hybrid, PHEV, or EV to serve as emergency backup — or manage power from solar. at home.

And 2022 Mercedes-Benz EQB electric SUV has a starting price – $55,550, when it hits US dealers this summer. Mercedes details Exclusive and Pinnacle trim levels and EQB 300 and EQB 350 power levels for the model, which won’t stand out in terms of driving range but will probably be the only model in the segment with a third row of seats.
