Tottenham clinched their fifth signing of the transfer window on Friday when defender Clement Lenglet joined Barcelona on loan. The London club has given a lot of support to coach Antonio Conte after the Italian won the right to attend next season’s Champions League.
Lenglet will join Richarlison, Ivan PerisicYves Bissouma and Fraser Forster are new faces at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium next season.
“We are delighted to announce the signing of Clement Lenglet on a season-long loan from Barcelona,” Tottenham said in a statement.
The France international joined Barcelona from Sevilla in 2018 for 35 million euros ($36 million) and won La Liga in his first season.
But he slipped down the pecking order at Camp Nou last season after a string of faulty performances.
