Tom Brady Announces He’s Returning to the NFL for His 23rd Season
Just when you thought Tom Brady was going to hang up his boots, he announced that he was skipping retirement and returning to the NFL for another season.
On Sunday, Tom worked with speak“In the last two months I have realized that my position is still on the field, not in the stands. That time will come. But not now. I love my teammates, and I love my family who always support me. Without them, none of this is possible. I will be back for my 23rd season in Tampa. We have unfinished business.”
Jason Licht, general manager of Buccaneers, released a statement and said:
News of Tom’s retirement first hit the headlines in late January, and he officially announced retirement in February, and said, “When I look back on my football career, the memories we’ve had and the relationships we’ve built so far are the most meaningful. Yes, transcripts are important, but the hardest times always taught me the most important lessons. I am grateful to the people who have been with me through all the ups and downs, wins and losses, and the memories we have created together. Memories never fade.”
“I played for the name on the front of my jersey and the name on the back of my jersey. I played because our friends, family, and community – each of you – gave me what I am today. I love you all. Thank you ALL for making this incredible journey possible,” he concluded.
Now it looks like Tom will continue his legacy on the football field.
