TOBA Announcement of Speakers and Breeding Clinic Journey


The Purebred Breeders and Owners Association will host a Breeding Clinic June 3-4 in Lexington, Kentucky. Attendees will learn about a variety of topics related to the livestock aspect of the Thoroughbred industry while visiting five farms in central Kentucky and hearing from experts in the field.

The clinic will include tours of Godolphin’s Stonerside Ranch, Spendthrift Ranch, WinStar Ranch, Mt. Brilliant, Hagyard Equine Health Institute and Summerwind Ranch.

Topics and speakers at the Livestock Clinic include:
* Crossbreeding of Sport and Modified Thoroughbreds in Ponies, presented by Gerry Duffy, Director of Stonerside and Raceland Farms
* Visit Spendthrift Farm / Stallions and Reproduction Process, presented by Ned Toffey, General Manager of Spendthrift Farm
* Stallion Mating and Transformation, presented by David Hanley, General Manager of WinStar Farm
* Maternal Rabbit Management: Breeding Preparation, Nutrition and Breeding, presented by Jeff Danford, Broodmare Director of WinStar Farms
* Biosecurity and Deception, presented by Alissa Heath, Assistant Manager Broodmare of WinStar Farms
* The Broodmare Review & Postpartum Care for Ponies, by Luke Sullivan, Broodmare Manager of Mt. Brilliant and Dr. Carleigh Fedorka presented

TOBA Breeding Clinic and other educational seminars aimed at all levels of education — from potential or new owners and breeders, to knowledgeable industry professionals looking to continue their education . TOBA clinics and seminars are open to the public at a special member discount. Meals, ingredients and a TOBA gift bag are included with registration.
