Toast to the New Year with one-way flights from $39 on Alaska Airlines

Happy New Year and congratulations on surviving the holidays. For those of us who find the first week back to work in January particularly difficult, fix your post-holiday woes by booking your next trip.

Thanks to Alaska Airlines’ New Year’s Sun & Snow sale, you can book one-way flights from as little as $39, with fares up to $99 one way to destinations including Austin, New York and City Salt Lake.

While this sale is advertised as for one-way flights, you can book two one-way flights at a discounted price for round trip travel until early March. Be sure to book your flight late on Thursday.

Then choose your return date for the same price, in this case $99. Next, select “Continue” to proceed with the booking.

When viewing specific flight options, select Economy fare, which is the carrier’s most restrictive fare. Economy fares are non-refundable and non-changeable. However, they do allow passengers to bring one free item for the upper luggage compartment and one personal item. If you want to check in a bag, you will have to pay $30 for the first bag and $40 for the second.
