Tim Tszyu Eager for US Premiere: “It’s Time for Me to Show them off and show them that amazing element”

Usually, Tim Tszyu has to look out the window before stepping out in his native Australia.

Of course, Tszyu’s fame doesn’t just stem from what he’s achieved in the ring. Instead, with his father, Kostya Tszyu, who had one of the most famous careers in boxing history, Tim Tszyu had a lot of expectations on his shoulders.

In addition to the fact that his father is holding multiple world titles at 140 pounds, thanks to his victories over Julio Cesar Chavez, Roger Mayweather and Zab Judah – Kostya Tszyu was awarded the Hall of Fame jacket in 2011.

When Tim Tszyu wants to create his own legacy, he will seek to do so before longtime candidate, Terrell Gausha. Tszyu will officially set foot on US soil this Saturday night at the Armory in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Unlike previous builds where he had to go up against the likes of Dennis Hogan, Jeff Horn and Takeshi Inoue – Tszyu wasn’t forced to sign countless autographs and smile for pictures with Australian fans his beloved. In fact, the reception for the £154 heavyweight candidate was relatively quiet.

However, while Tszyu has always welcomed his ardent fan base, he is learning to enjoy the peace and quiet of his upcoming US debut.

With time, however, Tszyu hopes to prove himself a top contender and future world champion. On Saturday night, he believes his name will have a significant reverberation across Australia and here.

“It was a new chapter for me,” Tszyu said in an interview with Brian Johnson. “I feel like I have achieved a lot in Australia. This gives me a fire, a burning desire. I love coming in here in the unknown, people don’t know what to expect. It’s time for me to show them and give them that amazing element. ”
