The suspension is due to Russia’s new “fake news” law, which has now made “the dissemination of what it describes as “fake” information about the country’s armed forces considered illegal. violate.” TikTok said in a statement, “Under Russia’s new ‘fake news’ law, we have no choice but to suspend live streaming and new content for our video service in Russia while we I consider the safety implications of this law.”

However, when it comes to Netflix, their service has been suspended in the country. The Hollywood Reporter said that a Netflix representative said, “Given the facts, we have decided to suspend our service in Russia.”
