TikTok is reportedly testing a new ‘Watch History’ Feature to allow users to revisit videos they may have lost!

We’ve all been there – surfing on TikTok, giggling like always, and suddenly the video keeps you entertained. Well, the popular short form video app is said to be testing a new feature to make sure you never lose another video again!

According to The Verge, TikTok’s potential new “watch history” feature will allow users to review videos they’ve watched within the past seven days.

“We are always thinking about new ways to bring value to our community and enrich the TikTok experience,” said a company spokesperson.

While details surrounding this new feature are scarce, social media consultant Matt Nacarra shared a possible image of the feature from Hammond Oh, who is known for being in the news. about new features on various social media platforms.

TikTok users have long been trying to find temporary solutions to save the videos they so desperately want to watch over and over again.

One user, @rachforaday, found a convoluted way to view TikTok watch history — a feature that turns off once the user exits the page. She lists the process as follows:

“Users can open the TikTok app, then scroll down to the bottom and click the ‘discover’ icon.” From there, click on the top search bar and type the asterisk

Users will likely see “hashtag” suggestions, but from there, they just need to go to the top right corner and click “filter.” The screen will automatically pop up and show an option that says “video watched”. All the user has to do is toggle the switch from off to on and click “apply”.
