‘This is possibly the best Walkabout lens out there’: New Tamron 20-40mm lens reviewed

That’s certainly a big call, but that’s how this reviewer describes the new Tamron 20-40mm f/2.8 lens. Take a look to know what all the fuss is about.

With each new release of quality third-party lenses, I think Canon owners get a little more uncomfortable sitting in their seats. I’m sure it is, especially as an owner of so many Tamron lenses, a company that I think only tops Sigma in terms of best quality in the third-party lens building market. Of course, you may disagree with that assessment and present some very reasonable evidence to make a claim against Sigma or any other third party lens manufacturer, but what I don’t think any of us can dispute the leap in quality. third-party lens manufacturers have done over the past decade.

And that brings us to this amazing video by Stefan Malloch in which he reviews the new video Tamron 20-40mm f/2.8 . Lens for Sony’s E-mount cameras and says it’s “probably the best dome lens available”. According to Malloch, its versatility and lightweight design are big pluses, as is its very affordable price tag of $699. Something quite unique and interesting about this lens is that at 40mm, it’s compact. most, but when you pan down to 20mm, the lens opens wide, as if it were almost reverse engineered. However, I don’t want to spoil things for you, so take a look and let me know what you think. In your opinion, is Malloch’s assessment fair?
