ThedaCare, Froedtert Health partner at Wisconsin health facilities
ThedaCare and Froedtert Health, two nonprofit systems based in Wisconsin, announced a joint venture to create two new health facilities in the state with acute and outpatient services.
One campus, planned for the Fond du Lac retail district, will be 18,000 square feet with an investment of $35 million. The second facility, in downtown Oshkosh, has a $76.3 million investment in a 58,000 square foot site. Each hospital will provide inpatient and emergency care.
Other services will include diagnostic testing, such as ultrasounds and mammograms. The Oshkosh site will provide laboratory services, a retail pharmacy, an ambulatory surgery center and a medical office building for primary and specialty care.
Cathy Jacobson, president and chief executive officer of Froedtert, said: “The health facilities of the future that will deliver high-quality healthcare services for treatment and prevention will be delivered in a way seamless, coordinated approach by our organizations.”
Construction is expected to begin this spring, with an expected completion date of 2024.
ThedaCare and the Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin medical network in September announced a partnership to improve access to advanced specialty care for patients in northeastern and central Wisconsin.
