Animal Aid Unlimited discovered a stray dog with a spinal injury sitting in a pile of trash. For some reason, someone had tied his hind legs together. Rescuers quickly brought the paralyzed puppy to the hospital for treatment.

Although they couldn’t find any wounds, his entire body stiffened from the pain. The fact that he can feel anything in all of his legs is a very positive sign. The little dog looked very pleased with the food so they named it Comfy. But maybe they shouldn’t be too attached…

The dog needed several weeks of physical therapy to heal, but gradually he began to show more energy. At first, Comfy didn’t want anyone near him, growling and barking when someone tried to touch him. However, his caregivers know that patience will be key. They started taking gentle and slow approaches to him, rebuilding his trust until he loved his therapy sessions! And after five months had passed, Comfy was finally able to get up and walk again.
