The Mort Gerberg Interview
Effectively, I’ve led a sophisticated life. One of many causes I’ve been doing all these things…I had a profession earlier than I actually went into cartooning. At one level after I obtained out of the military I had a job writing publicity stuff for an agent, after which I labored for a newspaper reporter. I used to be a newspaper reporter. And after being a newspaper reporter, I obtained a job at Cosmopolitan in promotion. And after that the headhunter got here and I obtained a giant job at Ziff-Davis; all this time I used to be futzing round with attempting to do cartoons. And a few place in the midst of all that I used to be going to highschool – I needed to go to journalism faculty. And I made a decision to attempt to do some cartoons. Possibly as a result of I used to be working for Cosmopolitan I attempted to promoting some issues to them. I believe there may need been minor issues – not minor issues, spot issues in Cosmopolitan, perhaps in 1958.
Different folks mark my starting from once I was with Krassner, in The Realist, once I obtained again from Mexico within the Nineteen Sixties…’61.
