The mistake cost this photographer $100,000

$100,000 is a lot of money. Perhaps life changes many of us. But that is the amount of money this photographer claims he lost due to an unfortunate mistake. Find out what it is so you don’t do the same.

Back in December 2018, I was researching cryptocurrencies. At the time, I had several cryptocurrencies on the move, including Bitcoin and Ripple. Since I’m going home for New Year’s in Australia, I wanted to set some money aside for spending. When that happened, the crypto market experienced a small bull run and Bitcoin and Ripple had some significant gains. Seizing the opportunity, I sold at a high price and cashed in, happy to have more money in my bank account. Big mistake. I sold Ripple for about 60c which is more than double what I paid for it. What’s wrong with that? In early January, Ripple spiked to $3, and to this day, I’m still bitter about the price of my trigger fingers. Definitely not $100k or anything like that, but enough for me to buy a lot of the camera gear I covet.

Which brings us to this amazing video by Evan Ranft. As a photography YouTuber with over 255k subscribers, he has done a great job of monetizing his audience and turning his hobby of vlogging into a substantial income. In this video, however, he outlines the mistake he made that he says cost him in excess of $100,000. It’s a lot of money, but he’s been in the online game for a long time and worked hard to build a profitable business model. Therefore, I can only receive him at his word. I don’t want to spoil it for you but what he said makes a lot of sense, so I recommend watching the video, especially if you are trying to start a photography business or you have a business almost no water development.
