A new report has revealed that demand for Apple’s iPhone 14 Pro is skyrocketing despite its very high price.
On September 7, the Cupertino-based tech giant unveiled its iPhone 14 series smartphone. The lineup consists of four models – two with modest features and two with high-end specs, but only three are currently on sale as the iPhone 14 Plus, which will start shipping on… October 7 onwards. Among these models, the demand for iPhone 14 Pro seems to be the highest. Recent sales data shows that consumer demand for iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max models is strong and Apple are scrambling to ramp up production.
According to the report of Appleinsider.com, J.P. Morgan’s Apple product availability tracking company says the standard iPhone 14 has a relatively short delivery time, while the iPhone 14 Pro model has a longer lead time. According to research, across multiple regions, the average delivery time for the iPhone 14 is three days, while the iPhone 14 Pro takes 35 days and the iPhone 14 Pro Max has a delivery time of 41 days.
In addition, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has also pointed out that the iPhone 14 Pro is in high demand among all three iPhone 14 models currently on sale. Kuo also added that Apple will increase the shipment forecast of iPhone 14 Pro models for Q422 by about 10% based on the production line conversion rate. He writes, “There are currently only a few order changes from component suppliers that reflect Hon Hai’s production line transformation (e.g.: SAMSUNG Display). I expect that most suppliers will also receive requests to increase orders for iPhone 14 Pro models from Apple in the next few weeks.”
