Rottweilers are susceptible to chicken sensitization. None of my dogs should eat chicken or chicken by-products. We are currently raising salmon & rice for sensitive skin Purina Pro Plan. But maybe switch to Victor (Oceanfish recipe) bc I’ve heard such great things.

My son has eosinophilic enteritis. It’s a really common auto-immune condition for Rotties. He’s allergic to every meat protein on the ground! I even have to carefully prepare dog food and make sure I serve it first because even the residue of canned food made from meat on a spoon will make it vomit for days with bloody water coming out of it. the back end is like a fire hydrant! We used to use Royal Canin Hydrolyzed Protein, but the holy cow made that price too high!! I switched him to Natural Balance Vegetarian both canned and eaten small and he has been doing great for several years now!

Stay away from foods with chicken or chicken by-products. I give Victor (blue pack mixed with purple) about 50% of their food, the other 50% is raw ground rabbit meat including bones/beef/lamb/fish (tilapia), offal, vegetables and fruits. All sent through the meat grinder. I have six Rottweilers and they do it very well

My dog is allergic to chicken which has been his main food since he was a puppy up to 2 and a half years old, he has had terrible burning and dry skin to pet him, he just can’t make contact with his belly and bad attitude. I started with the vet to clean up the hot spots and a chat then I did some research on what nutrients a dog digest will help enhance its lifespan. Tested several meats she can eat with no problems We are currently making her recipe pumpkin and vegetable oatmeal, sometimes I add raw liver (no chicken) ) beef seems to be the best for her. My sister with a German Shepard also feeds this and molts within a week or two. My dog is now a happy girl, good shiny belly and best attitude

We have a Rottie and a Shepard. I recently read on another forum that goat milk is a miracle cure for sensitive skin and stomach. It is believed to be a natural prebiotic. The local dog supply store has it in the freezer. I give them half a cup after dinner and they love it. Since we incorporated it into their diet, they have had no more problems.
