I’ve used fresh pet chickenn and rice. The dog is allergic to wheat, soy, corn, beef and is particularly unwell to the stomachs of potatoes or salmon. And the Hubbard hen handles the apples.

Ground lamb, beef (unsalted, rinsed and drained) chopped broccoli, carrots, celery, white rice, zucchini, sweet potatoes, squash. The vegetables can be switched around. Sprinkle with some parsley or oregano and a good multivitamin. Prepare meals. Fresh Pet beef can be substituted. A bit expensive but no longer itchy and picky.

My Molly is allergic to everything but rice, barley, oats, and I mean everything!
I feed her a mix of oatmeal, rice, and carrots and peas! So far she is not allergic to vegetables or fruits! I buy pumpkin pie or baked sweet potato from Wilco!The only thing I’ve found is nothing that makes her allergic! I can’t buy B anything meat flavored, no eggs, yeast, dairy B products, absolutely nothing but those. She is doing great! She also gets allergy shots every 5 or 6 weeks! Good luck!

Our Bichon suffered from terrible allergies for several years. We took him to several vets, we tried injections, allergy pills everything but steroid sprays (too dangerous), creams, oils, various shampoos. FINALLY, we tried a highly recommended vet who asked question…yes, he is allergic to every food we feed him including home cooked food. Found out he’s allergic to protein. She brought him in Blue’s Hydrolyzed Food, problem solved…no more scratches and bleeding, just a happy boy. You may want to ask your vet about that.. it’s prescription only. Good luck!

According to the vet’s report, my first Bichon was allergic to everything but sweet potatoes and salmon or whitefish. He also suffers from environmental allergies. I can give him some apple slices and some melon. Had to bathe him every day and allergy shots didn’t help him at all. See what your vet has to say and do.
