Teyana Taylor speaks out about dating rumors with Leonardo DiCaprio

Teyana Taylor recently reacted to rumors that she was intimate with her co-star Leonardo DiCaprio.

The singer told E!’s ‘The Rundown’. that she was simply helping the ‘Titanic’ star do his hair and not flirting in the viral Oscar party video.

What happened between Teyana and Leo in the viral video

Last month, everyone wanted to know what the tea party between the two was about after the two actors were seen chatting intimately at the event.

Leo placed his hand on Tey’s lower back as they spoke. Additionally, the actress wrapped her arms around DiCaprio’s neck as they danced. Teyana appeared to be playing with his hair as they looked into each other’s eyes while talking. They even whispered into each other’s ears. Social media reported this behavior as giving ‘more than friends’.

After the clip surfaced, rumors quickly spread that Taylor, who is currently divorced from Iman Shumpert, was dating the legendary bachelor. A source close to the mother of two children said this was just a harmless conversation, but social networks did not believe it.

Now, the ‘Lowkey’ singer has confirmed to ‘The Rundown’ that she was simply helping the Oscar winner fix his mane.

Teyana told the outlet, “Leo wore extensions in the movie and they hurt him. I actually helped him make dumplings.”

Other than that, Taylor said the conversation was harmless as they discussed dinner.

“And if you watched the video, I said something about tortillas because my chef was cooking for the whole cast,” the actress said. “We have to make sure his bun is right. We have to make sure he is well fed.”

The ‘A Thousand and One’ star revealed he is like an older brother to her. She also praised DiCaprio’s character and revealed that he supported her performance.

“He’s like the best. He will cheer you on all the way,” she shared.
