Testing Subaru’s EyeSight ADAS at the Advanced Technology Drive event at Desa ParkCity, July 8-11
Curious what Subaru is Eye sight Advanced driver assistance systems are all about? Well, here’s your chance to test it out with your own eyes at the ongoing Subaru Advanced Technology Drive (SATD) event at Plaza Arkadia, Desa ParkCity. The event runs from today until Sunday (July 8 to 10), from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Organized by TC Subaru, the exclusive distributor of Subaru vehicles in Malaysia, the SATD event will showcase some of the driver assistance technologies found in the 2022 Subaru XV facelift through a series of course exercises.
You’ll be able to test the automatic emergency braking through Autonomous Stop (Pre-Collision Braking) and sample the vehicle’s Autonomous Go adaptive cruise control with Stop and Go. The third setup will introduce the XV’s symmetrical all-wheel drive.
That’s all that’s going on at the open-air parking lot in Plaza Arkadia. At the Courtyard fountain area in the square, you will find a display tent highlighting XV facelift, launched locally last December. Both 2.0iP EyeSight and eye catching GT version samples on display at the event.
The EyeSight safety suite is standard on all XVs sold here and adds automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control at stop and go, lane departure warning, forward departure warning and control. wrong pedal control for the crossover’s bag. Head to Plaza Arkadia this weekend to try out the EyeSight system in the facelifted XV.
