Two of Australia’s best-selling electric vehicles (EVs) have been slashed yet again, after one at the begin of the year.
Total Tesla Model 3 range is now $3400 cheaper. Range now starts at $60,900 before circulation give RWDand extends to $86,900 before circulation give Efficiency.
Tesla also added a Long range variant Later Model Y for the Australian lineup, while reducing the prices of existing variants back to their original prices in early 2023. There was a short-term price increase in February of this year after the initial discount.

The Tesla Model 3 was the third best-selling vehicle in Australia in February, with 2,671 units sold during the month. It is only outsold by Ford Ranger And Toyota Hilux.
The Model Y was also the best-selling mid-size luxury SUV in February, with 845 units sold. It outsells the likes of Audi Q5 (378 sold) and LexusNx (282 sold).
Tesla has slashed prices in various markets over the past few months. It slashed the Model Y price by as much as 20% in the US market, while the price cuts in China led to a price war as many domestic and foreign automakers cut prices in response.

As recently reported, Tesla is currently working on a Updated version of Model 3 sedan, with a The refreshed version of the relevant Model Y SUV set to follow.
Reuters Reports from sources say the updated crossover, internally codenamed Project Juniper, is expected to enter production in October 2024.
It’s unclear what changes will come to the crossover, although the Model 3 update – codenamed Project Highland – looks set to receive visual updates to the front and rear end, among other tweaks.
