Terrified dog rescued from meat farm has a big surprise

When the rescuers with International Humanitarian Association Finally got into a dog meat farm in Wonju, South Korea, hundreds of dogs are living in terrible conditions. They are trapped by an industry that only cares about profits, and without outside help, their desperate fate will be closed. But after working tirelessly to free innocent animals from being slaughtered, HSI successfully rescued 200 dogs. Getting them off the meat farm is the first step, but not the last.

Out of 200 dogs rescued from Korea, 14 of them were sent to Tampa . Bay Humanitarian Association. There was Harriet, who was sleeping up because she didn’t understand the concept of a bed, and Harry, who huddled in the corner of his crib to avoid eye contact at all costs.

And then there’s Rosa. When Rosa first entered the safe-haven, extreme fear caused her to close the door completely. She pushed herself against the wall trying to disappear, and her body language told shelter staff that she was extremely distrustful of humans.

In the end, Rosa only allowed one person, her trainer, to get close to her. After being allowed near the dog, it didn’t take long to determine the real reason behind her extreme anxiety. After surviving on a meat farm, being transported thousands of miles, and being transported to a completely new and unfamiliar environment, Rosa’s pregnancy became even more stressful. The Humane Society of Tampa Bay has released a press update speak,

“She is far away and could give birth soon. We moved her to a quiet crib away from the hustle and bustle, where she could nest and feel more secure. We are incredibly grateful that she is no longer trapped in a dirty, cramped cage where she gave birth alone and her puppies will now have a fighting chance.”

They announced Rosa pregnant on January 30, and the next day, Rosa gave birth to 6 healthy puppies. Five men and one woman are welcomed into a world where they will live free of captivity and carnage.

Their mother, however, is not free from the memories of her previous life. Rosa’s post-traumatic stress continued after her puppies were born, and it was clear that the shelter environment didn’t help. A representative of the Humane Society told FOX13,

“Because she won’t allow humans to get close to her, she will be placed with a foster parent who is experienced with the type of rehabilitation and environment she requires.”

Life in foster care seems to suit Rosa, and more than two months on from the day she was saved, the Tampa Bay Humane Society has made an interesting announcement. They posted on Facebook speak,

“HUGE! For the first time since joining us on January 22, Rosa accepts pets from volunteer Lori Smart. Lori faithfully sat with Rosa every day to help her learn to trust. It is working. “

Rosa is making progress every day, and little by little, she is leaving the tragedy of her previous life behind. She is a loving mother and has begun to bond with her adoptive family, all thanks to her rescuers and volunteers at the Tampa Bay Humane Society. Consider donations for their goal to help Rosa and every dog like her.
