Do you want to experience the Nürburgring but don’t want to risk your car?
Korean luxury car brand Genesis is the latest automaker to launch a fleet of Track Taxi vehicles, providing passenger rides around the famous 20.8km route.
Starting July 6, up to three passengers can strap themselves into one of the Genesis G70 it will rush around the ‘Green Hell’.
Prices start at €120 ($193), significantly cheaper than the Nürburgring’s Ring Taxi service, which starts at €349 ($560) for a ride in a BMW M5 and goes up to €499 ($800) for a Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series.
Each performance sedan – which produces 274kW of power and 510Nm of torque from its 3.3-litre twin-turbo V6 – is wrapped in striking orange paint with black accents, possibly as a way to attracts interest in the new Genesis Magma performance brand spin-off.
Genesis has partnered with Michelin to ensure its track taxis are equipped with high-performance tires, suitable for all track and weather conditions.
Luc Donckerwolke, creative director of Genesis, sees the program as a milestone for the brand and the auto industry.

The Nürburgring Nordschleife, 20.830 km long and featuring more than 150 corners, was a Formula 1 track until 1976, when Niki Lauda’s near-fatal crash ended its Grand Prix hosting days.
The Genesis Track Taxi scheme comes after the Nürburgring Nordschleife increased its speed requirement on tours to 130km/h last year.
Before the new regulations, vehicles had to travel at a minimum speed of 30mph (48km/h).
Tour participants are not allowed to drift or stop along the track and must comply with vehicle noise limits of less than 130dB.
