Tampa Bay Buccaneers sign WR Cole Beasley for squad practice, sources confirm


The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will sign Cole Beasley to their training team, a source confirmed to ESPN, adding the 11-year veteran to the short-sleeved wide-sleeve team.

Beasley is published by Receipt in March and did not sign with another team as a free agent during the season. The Bucs plan to raise Beasley to their active roster soon, according to the NFL Network, which first reported on the signing Tuesday.

The Bills allowed Beasley to seek a deal in early March but ultimately released him in a move that generated about $6.1 million in the salary cap space.

He missed a game during the 2020 season after testing positive for COVID-19 while unvaccinated, and is reported to have been fined multiple times for violating the NFL’s COVID-19 protocols.
