Take your torch, Alan Wake Remastered is out now on Nintendo Switch
Surprise! You may have forgotten that Alan Wake Remastered to be quietly announced for Switch earlier this yearbut now you know for sure, because it’s out right away.
Alan Wake was originally launched as an Xbox 360 console exclusive in May 2010 from developer Remedy Entertainment. After partnering with publisher Epic Games, Remedy then launched a remake of the game in 2021 with improved visuals and improved performance.
The title now forms the basis for what the studio calls the ‘Cosmic Connector Fix’, with 2019 Control makes several references to Alan Wake, including the cross-extension, AWE. Alan Wake II is also in development, but is currently only targeted for launch on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
Alan Wake Remastered for Switch contains the main game itself along with two story extensions, ‘The Signal’ and ‘The Writer’. Alan Wake’s American Nightmare is a standalone sub-title and will not be included in this release.
Alan Wake Remastered is now available on Switch eShop for $29.99 USD / €29.99 / £24.99. Players can now receive a launch discount of 20% off the list price.
