Takara Tomy will release the Poke Ball ice cream maker
Takara Tomy will launch a yo-yo ice cream maker that looks like a Poke Ball or Master Ball. It will launch on April 25, 2024 and pre-orders are currently open. [Thanks, Hobby Dengeki!]
The Poke Ball and Master Ball yo-yo ice cream makers are priced at JPY 2,640 each. That would be about $17.30. When you buy one, it comes with an ice cream maker, spoon, yo-yo string, recipe book, and instruction manual. Since the target audience is children aged six and up, it is quite easy to use if you want to make your own ice cream.
To make ice cream in this yo-yo, you need to add ice, salt, water and some kind of flavoring ingredient. For example, you can add orange juice to make orange ice cream. Then you just need to play the yo-yo for about three minutes and you will have ice cream after opening it. This is Exactly the same method which some people use to make ice cream at home without a machine. Usually, people use glass jars for this technique. However, with this toy, you can enjoy a summer treat while having fun.
The Takara Tomy Poke Ball and Master Ball ice cream makers are open for pre-order and will launch on April 25, 2024. If you want a Poke Ball but don’t want it as a snack, the University of the Arts Office Tama will run one workshop where you can design your own Poke Ball.
