TAG Heuer adds 42mm model to its connection line

TAG Heuer adds a 42mm model to its Connected Watch collection while enhancing the technology and feature set of the existing 45mm model. The new size responds to a request for a slimmer, more compact version of the smartwatch that the watch maker launched in 2015.

The new TAG Heuer Connected, comes in a new 42mm size.

The new 42mm model offers not only a slimmer case, but a clearly more elegant profile with its ergonomic steel pushers, thin bezel beneath the sapphire crystal, and a fully integrated bracelet.

With a ceramic bezel, the upgraded 45mm model is still quite sporty and features a larger crown for easier access to all adjustments. Additionally, TAG Heuer has added a bit of pressure to the pushers to mimic the feel of pushers on a mechanical watch.

For both Watch is connected TAG Heuer dimensions now include a new animated display called Riverside that conveys the futuristic effect of the passage of time. The new Wellness face provides information about the wearer’s workout regime directly on the home screen. This data could include the wearer’s heart rate and daily steps, for example.

Among the new health apps, TAG Heuer highlights an all-new guided workout regimen that includes programmed workouts of pre-set lengths. When the user completes their exercise, the watch vibrates to indicate that it is time to move on to the next exercise. TAG Heuer is offering a new sport application on the new 45mm and 42mm models, as well as the previous generation of Connected watches.

Throughout the TAG collection, Heuer has also added new digital features, including the latest sports news, weather, health and calendar data delivered directly to the face. Find a variety of new watch faces, including reinterpretations of existing Connected designs.

Other upgrades to this new generation of Connected Watches include: Thirty percent longer battery life (on the new 45mm model), faster data syncing with Bluetooth 5.0. And an altimeter works in conjunction with the accelerometer, heart rate monitor, compass and GPS.

TAG Heuer runs the next generation of Connected Watches that run on Wear OS by Google. At launch, the watch will run on Wear OS 2. Users will have the option to upgrade to Wear OS 3 at no additional cost when an update becomes available.

And finally, TAG Heuer has developed a new charger that functions as a watch display stand. It becomes a nightstand that will display the time.

New generation TAG Heuer Connected Watch will go on sale March 10 in select stores worldwide and at www.tagheuer.com.

Price: $1,800 (42mm), $2,550 (full titanium 45mm version), $2,050 (45mm with rubber strap) and $2,250 (45mm with bracelet).
