I frequently complain about the “gamer” aesthetic, but in the case of the JBL Quantum One, the gimmicky design and lighting are well worth it. This headset is pricey, but it’s for people who have a full gaming desktop setup and want the best, most immersive sound when gaming (or listening to music while working, like me). First and foremost, the sound is incredible. The wide, expansive soundstage and treble bass make it perfect for using any type of media.
For this price, you get a few extra features in addition to great sound. These headphones provide spatial sound, so when you set them up with JBL software, they track the position of your head. If you step away from your computer, the volume will gradually decrease. Spatial sounds make for a killer, sometimes over-stimulating gaming experience. They also feature active noise cancellation and super clear boom microphones. The only thing I don’t like? Exterior designs. If they understood a little more, this would be my go-anywhere, everyday headset.
