Swin Cash, Manu Ginobili, Tim Hardaway among inductees at Basketball Hall of Fame 2022
WNBA icon Swin Cash, NBA stars Manu Ginobili and Tim Hardaway, former longtime NBA head coach George Karl and West Virginia head coach Bob Huggins are among those expected to be featured at the House in honor of Naismith Memorial basketball, class 2022.
An official announcement of the 16-member 2022 class was expected on Saturday, but The Athletic first reported on the five attendees on Thursday.
Cash, currently the CEO with New Orleans Pelicansis a three-time WNBA champion, a four-time WNBA All-Star and a two-time Olympic gold medalist with Team USA.
Ginobili is a four-time NBA champion, two-time All-Star and former NBA Sixth Player of the Year in his 16-season career with San Antonio Spurs.
Hardaway has played for 5 NBA teams, and has won 5 NBA All-Star Championships and was selected for the All-NBA 5 times, including an All-NBA First Team appearance in 1997.
Karl has coached 5 teams in 27 seasons, reaching 22 postseasons and ranking 6th in NBA career wins. He was the NBA Coach of the Year for the 2012-13 season.
Huggins has coached several schools for more than four decades, is a twice-yearly NCAA coach, and has amassed more than 900 career wins.
The Class of 2022 is scheduled to be enshrined in the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame on September 10.
