Success Story: Happy, Healthy and Hot!

“It’s not just a physical transformation.”

Those are the words of one of my beautiful clients, and I realize they are also a perfect description of my own journey.

I’m Elizabeth from Hot and Healthy Happiness. I am a 56 year old dual certified health coach who has helped women of all ages lose weight so they can love their bodies AND their lives. I’m passionate about showing them how great it feels to feel so good and that it’s not just about the destination of better health, it’s about who you become on the journey.

Back in 2016, near my 50th birthday, I was featured as a success story here on MDA. I have shared my wellness journey to finally get rid of the cystic acne that has plagued me for decades, along with relief from severe anxiety and digestive issues. All are the result of adopting the Primitive way of life.

I recently re-read that article and was moved to tears. In it, I mentioned three goals: getting certified as a Primal Health Coach, starting my coaching career, and writing a book. I’ve accomplished all of that and more.

Achieving Primal Health Coach certification in 2017 has greatly deepened my understanding of this lifestyle science and research, and has given me the tools, knowledge, and most importantly, confidence. to finally start his coaching business, Happy Healthy and Hot. I offer a unique combination of mindset, nutrition and fitness, and have a knack for turning overwhelming health information into quick tips that my clients can take immediately and see results.

And then I wrote that book! The Healthy and Hot Magazine – 90 days to love your body and your life It’s the simple tool I need, my clients need, and I know other women who need to maintain their mindset, diet, and fitness every day.

Another thing I’m proud of is being a finalist in the Maxim Cover Girl contest at the age of 53, competing against women in their twenties and thirties. The old Elizabeth would never have done this, but the new Elizabeth accepts the challenge of confronting, taking action with inspiration, and saying yes to her whole body.

A recent challenge I took was to give myself a gift that no one else could give me: a visible six pack for my 56th birthday. (Full disclosure: I never got a six pack, even when I hit the gym hard in my twenties.) Every time I do a challenge like this, I glow, and the confidence and satisfaction that comes with goals brings and propels me forward in other areas of my life.

And speaking of life, it gets in the way sometimes, like it does for everyone. It was during those times, when the sh*t hit the fans, that I saw the true value of my strength training. The simple habits I have for mindset, nutrition, and fitness keep me on track no matter what’s going on around me.

I’m always tweaking my health and fitness routine, but ultimately it’s not much different from what I shared back in 2016. Every day starts with an early morning walk, not just is exercise. It’s worth being in nature and early light exposure. Followed by my coffee, quiet journaling time, and 20 minutes of a very effective workout, mainly body resistance. I walk at least 10,000 steps a day and more if I’m hiking or on the beach.

I teach my clients “Priority Protein and Production” That’s exactly what I do in my own life. It works everywhere, from convenience stores to five-star restaurants. But my favorite place to eat is my own home, where I have complete control over the quality and preparation. There’s something very satisfying about preparing simple, delicious food with the finest ingredients.

Now that nutrition comes to me so easily, I find myself drawn to spending more time outdoors and reaping the benefits of exposure to natural light and grounding. As I focus more on strength and endurance, my next challenge will be to complete the Primal Fitness Instructor Certification, to expand my knowledge and the service I provide to my clients. your goods.

The reason I keep challenging myself is simple: It feels so good to feel so good! Optimizing my health has created a positive ripple effect across every area of my life and being able to share my journey and inspire others through social media is making waves. It was a powerful wave.

In short, health goals are more than just reaching the finish line. It’s about who you become along the way. And the best way to achieve that is to act on your vision. This is what kept me going while I was working on my 6 pack. Every meal I prepare, every workout I compete, every affirmation I say is made with a clear picture in my head of how great it feels when I reach my goal. me. In the words of Neville Goddard, “Feeling is secret.”

Back to the client I referred to in the beginning: Laura lost over 25 pounds by doing my simple tips and adjustments. But even better, she has a newfound confidence and passion for life. As she was about to turn sixty, she was feeling better for many years, really loving her body and her life. And that’s all this is about.

This article is provided as part of our Success Stories series from Elizabeth, a longtime member of the Mark’s Daily Apple community. Elizabeth originally shared her story with us six years ago, and while we were impressed then, we’re blown away now. Congratulations, Elizabeth, and happy birthday! Your success is well deserved.
