Strangely shaped woman in the park field, exclaiming as she put her hand inside
Judy Obregon is a volunteer dog rescue who spends most of her time looking for abandoned dogs. These dogs are not important enough for their callous owners to be properly handed over. Instead, they are left behind on roadsides, in parks and around the world.
She was on her way to a notorious dump despite being unwell and tempted to lie in bed. She noticed a strange item out of the corner of her eye while driving. She stopped when she spotted a pet house.

Maybe someone dropped it and it was empty. But Judy knows she has to do a thorough investigation because you never know. Especially in this part of town. When she stepped closer, she saw that the bed inside was soaked with water. Apparently the pet house has been there for a while. Judy pulled off the wet bedding and that’s when she saw a small muzzle. Oh not again! There is a dog inside.

Judy examined the puppy and discovered that it belonged to a very distressed puppy. Who knows how long this little one has been outside! Now she may have hypothermia. The veteran rescuer gently guides the dog out of the pet house. That’s when she noticed that the puppy was in bad shape. She had sores all over her body. Her skin seemed to be severely infected, and it looked like she was in a lot of pain. Judy rushed the puppy home before taking it to the vet.

At the clinic, the puppy was discovered to be approximately ten months old. She was diagnosed with Demodex mange by her veterinarian. Najila is the name Judy gave the puppy, which means soulful eyes in Arabic.
Judy was touched by the puppy’s persistence and constant wagging tail. Looks like she has a lot of love to give. She also loved to be held, and Judy guessed that her former employer kept her outside because she really wanted to be cared for and comforted. She really longed for physical contact and comfort.

The next step is to get Jila into a medical facility. The puppy will continue with the medicated bath and antibiotics, while he recovers. Her new family will also give her an idea of what it’s like to live in a home and be safe and cared for.

UPDATE:
Jila did a great job at her foster home. She overcame some medical issues, but fought hard to overcome each obstacle. The best is what comes next! Jila has found a family that loves her so much! She is doing great, and she knows that each day will bring new love and stability to her life. A good ending makes us happy!
