Hello, my name is Yang Yu. Today, I’m excited to share that Honkai: Star Rail, the upcoming free space fantasy RPG, is coming to PlayStation soon. You play as the main character who embarks on a journey on the Astral Express with special passengers. As the “Pioneer”, you will explore the kingdoms of the universe and uncover the secrets buried in legends.
A sci-fi universe with fantasy elements
Exploration is the core of every adventure. Honkai: Star Rail features an in-game world waiting to be explored with mythological elements mixed into a space sci-fi story. In this universe, there are “Aeons”, embodiments of cosmic principles that can freely move between infinite worlds, controlled by their Primum Cells — They are essentially gods. God has formidable power! The Aeons roam the world maintaining their own beliefs, thus many different types of civilizations thrive in every corner of the universe.
However, there is an Aeon named Destruction that sees the universe as a fallacy and civilization as a cancer, sowing the seeds of destruction called Stellaron across the galaxy leading to major changes to the ecosystem. As the main character, you are implanted with a Stellaron at the beginning of the story. To delve into the essence of Stellaron, you bravely sail to the galaxy, composing an interstellar tune filled with surprises and rewarding experiences.
Different worlds to explore
Honkai: Star Rail offers a vast universe with many unique cultures, landscapes and landscapes. It is full of rewards and secrets waiting for you to discover.
You can experience the story’s origins in the Herta Space Station, then set sail to explore Jarilo-Ⅵ and Xianzhou Luofu, two key destinations on your interstellar journey. Jarilo-Ⅵ has countless mysteries and dangers frozen beneath its snow hats awaiting further investigation. Xianzhou Luofu, Silkpunk’s flagship where the inhabitants seem to have attained immortality, heralds an upcoming expedition steeped in oriental fantasy.
Friendly Warning: There’s still a lot of unexplored territory. We’re looking at ways to take our spatial imagination to another dimension by including new content in the game. Details will be revealed in the future.
Choose your companion to face the challenges
Of course, space exploration won’t always find hospitable inhabitants welcoming you with open arms. Different types of opponents and obstacles need to be overcome, otherwise your survival will be difficult!
Fortunately, you’re not alone. During the whirlwind of the star hunt, players will meet new companions with special abilities. They are happy to be considered, unleashing their power during map exploration, puzzle investigation, etc.
In addition, our turn-based combat system is easy to use but difficult to master, a perfect place to test your team building and battle preparation skills. If you can masterly utilize each character’s skill set masterfully, then they’ll all have room to shine and unleash their full potential to aid your quest.

Build your squad of four from a variety of playable characters, get along with your companions and utilize their respective unique skills to take on challenges from anywhere in the universe!
