Squadron Appointed to HISA Nominee Committee


The HISA Board of Directors has appointed Bill Squadron as a member of the Nominating Committee. Squadron replaces outgoing Nominating Committee member, Leonard Coleman, who left his seat on the Nominating Committee to serve on HISA’s Board of Directors.

“I am honored to be in this position and am pleased to contribute to the important effort to establish effective and reliable integrity and safety standards for thoroughbred racing by identifying experts, Experienced individuals can take on this important responsibility,” said Squadron.

Squadron is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Sports Management at Elon University and a Senior Advisor to Pramana Labs, a data technology company with expertise in horse racing.

Squadron has served as an Adjunct Professor at several institutions, including Columbia University, and served as President of Bloomberg Sports (where he founded the RaceLens joint venture with Equibase); Senior Vice President cum Head of New Communications Department of International Management Group (IMG); Co-Founder, Chairman and CEO of Sportvision, Inc.; Senior Vice President of News Corporation; and Partner at international law firm Morrison & Foster. Squadron received his J.D. from UC Berkeley Law School and a BA in English Literature from Swarthmore University.
