Skylum has revealed another Extension that will be added to the Luminar Neo editing platform soon for Pro plan subscribers and 2022 Extension Pack owners. Five extensions were revealed and today, Another extension has been announced for next month: Supersharp AI, a tool for sharpening details in images.
According to Skylum, Supersharp AI handles motion blur and out-of-focus shots, and helps transform photos from blurry to sharp. The neural network in Supersharp AI calculates the depth, perspective, and context of an image. With this information, it can debug and refocus using compression algorithms. With the Supersharp AI Extension, it’s easy to eliminate motion blur caused by camera shake or moving subjects, or eliminate lens blur caused by lost focus.
This tool helps photographers correct errors when they focus manually and assists in cases where the shutter speed is too slow and the desired details are not captured. As a result of the work of Supersharp AI, photographers will get natural looking images full of details.
Skylum has a lot of opponents, including Topaz Sharpen AI and their new Photo AI for sharpening, noise reduction, and upscaling. There is also the same sharpening technology from ON1.
The Supersharp AI extension will be released in November. It can be accessed as part of a monthly or yearly Luminar Neo Pro subscription, or can be purchased as part of the 2022 Extension Pack. Monthly and annual Pro subscriptions are now available and include access to Luminar Neo and all currently available Extensions and all Extensions released during the subscription period.
