Shell Malaysia launches carbon neutral engine oil – Launches Helix Power 5W-40, RM280 for 4L pack

Shell Malaysia has launched a range of completely carbon neutral synthetic engine oils, including the Shell Helix Power and Protect range of engine oils for passenger cars running on petrol and diesel.

Applies to gasoline and diesel engines, Shell Helix Power and Protect engine oils are available in Helix Power 5W-40 which retails for RM280 for a four liter pack in Peninsular Malaysia and RM280.80 in East Malaysia, where accession Helix Power 0W-40 and Helix Protect 0W-30was launched in Malaysia with the previous guise in July 2020.

According to Shell, these engine oils are the world’s first carbon neutral engine oils made from 99.5% pure base oils made from natural gas. This is indicated on oil packs by a green ‘Carbon Neutral’ label below the ‘Strength’ or ‘Protection’ symbols.

The new Helix Power 5W-40 fully synthetic synthetic oil is suitable for a wide range of petrol and diesel passenger vehicles without diesel particulate filters, and this engine oil with the Power grade 0W-40 and Protect 0W-30 is being made from natural gas.
