Casse runs a pair in Pasco: Rosedown Racing Stables’ bred in Kentucky Champion dream November 6 winner Nashua Staking (G3) at Aqueduct race track for previous coaches Danny Gargan, and Reeves Thoroughbred Racing and Gary Barber’s Armstrong who scored the final goal in the December 9 Clarendon Stakes against the mixed Canadians on a synthetic surface at Honeysuckle. Champion dream, a gray or wandering son of justification started with Casse for the first time after moving into his barn about two months ago.
“He is training very well. I am very impressed with the way he trains at our training center,” Casse said. “Obviously he’s been very successful; he’s 2 to 3. He won against Nashua—in my opinion, it’s a weak Nashua. So he’s going to have to improve the game. a bit, but he’s training as good as a trainable horse right now. So I hope he’ll run well and be hard to beat.
“Armstrong (a bay by manly man ) is a beautiful horse—both are beautiful horses—Armstrong is a horse we have come to appreciate very early on. He’s Canadian, so he went to Woodbine. He just won a nice race on his last start—he won that bet; he hit a pretty good horse.
“Now comes the question, will he run as well on dirt as he did at Tapeta? All indications are at this point that he’s over the terrain well. He’s passed it well at at but running on it and working out on it are two different things.
“Both of those horses – I’m just watching where their next move is, how good they are. Obviously, you always have dreams about Derby, and that’s what we’re dreaming of, but they have to. prove they belong. Seventh, as I always say, is like part of the puzzle.”
Four enemies lined up against the Casse duo, led by Victory Stables’ Handsome Player runner-up in last month’s inaugural Stakes in Tampa and the winner claims the next tier one option grant.
Casse is trained personal pursuit a Kentucky gray-skinned daughter of faucet owned by Tracy Farmer, is more of a question mark in Gasparilla, transitioning from grass to land. “I really think she’s going to run better on the grass. She’s just fine,” he said of her performance as fifth in Matron Stakes (G3T) and fourth in Wait a While Staking last year. “I’ve always felt she was a grass horse, but the initial performance on the dirt track was pretty good, so we’re going to give her another try. She’s been training really well, the day before yesterday there was one. a beautiful breeze.”
Gasparilla includes the 1-2-4 finishers from Sandpiper Stakes on December 3 in Tampa in Dorth Vader , great picture and Dreaming of snow .
