Sea&Sea has confirmed that their DX-6G case—which was designed for the Ricoh WG-70, WG-60 and WG-50 rugged compact cameras—is also compatible with the latest model, WG-80was announced in May. By Sea & Sea, the WG-80 can be fitted into the case” by removing the two rubber sections inside the front case. Rubber parts can be easily removed with fingertips.” See the diagram below.
The WG-80, like its predecessors, features a 16MP 1/2.3-inch BSI-CMOS sensor, equivalent to 28–140mm. f/3.5–5.5 lens and built-in ring light for macro photography. While the camera is freeze-resistant to temperatures up to 14ºF (–10ºC) and can survive drops from up to 5 feet (1.6m), it is only waterproof at 46 feet (14m) depth in two hours!
