Right in the spring, Samsung finally officially launched its latest TVs. In addition to 4K and 8K QLED TVs, two new soundbar lines, and 89-inch Micro-LED TVs, the tech giant also announced its first OLED TV in nearly a decade.

We’ll dig deeper into the new technology when we have hands-on time, but here are some highlights we can share right now.
It may seem hard to believe, but Samsung hasn’t offered an OLED TV for 9 years. So we’re happy to see this 4K OLED TV in 55-inch and 65-inch sizes (available for Pre-orders start at $2200). It will use the company’s Tizen smart TV platform for easy streaming and good reviews 4K . Neural Quantum Processor to enhance its image processing.
We’re looking forward to seeing how this technology stacks up against tried and true OLED TVs from LG and Sony.
An updated version of Samsung’s already powerful Neo Quantum processor, available in new 4K and 8K QLED models, will offer software improvements, support for faster refresh rates, and accuracy. better colors, increased brightness levels and better contrast.
Specifically, this includes increasing the refresh rate up to 144Hz, increasing the brightness level from 12-bit to 14-bit, and a neat, new technology called Shape Adaptive Light, which uses AI for analysis and control. and then enhance the necessary shapes to stand out from the background – this will give the viewer an even more realistic image.
We also like the sound of the new EyeComfort mode, which Samsung says uses a built-in light sensor to automatically adjust the screen’s brightness and tone depending on where and when you’re viewing. For example, it can adjust blue light and apply warmer tones at night to help you sleep better.
QLED 4K and 8K 2022 TVs will also feature top channel speakers that deliver Dolby Atmos and Object Tracking Sound. The latter acts like a low-tech surround sound feature, directing sound through different speakers depending on what you’re watching.
However, we’re guessing that if you’re shelling out cash for one of these cutting-edge TVs (which can be pre-ordered right now, for 8K starting at $4999 and 4K starting at $1499), you’ll want to add a soundbar to your setup. And Samsung also announced new Q and S Series Soundbars to go with the TV, which comes with industry-first wireless Dolby Atmos technology. More on that when we see them.
Smart Hub and Apps will make Samsung TVs even smarter
As TVs become even bigger home entertainment hubs, Samsung is always trying to keep things in the home with its latest Smart Hub. Here you can get all your favorite streaming apps, like Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, and HBO Max, but it also offers Game Center, with access to a variety of game services play as Nvidia GeForce Now, Google Stadia and Utomik. And for those interested in NFT, Samsung now comes with a specific, integrated platform to buy, trade, and view your digital artwork right on the 2022 Micro LED, Neo QLED and The TVs. Frame.
While we’ll have a lot to say about all of Samsung’s new 2022 TVs and soundbars when we get our first look, this sneak peek caught our attention. 8K TVs may not have a lot of compatible content yet, but we’ve been impressed by the new technology so far. And, after a long hiatus, the addition of an OLED TV with the lineup will provide a great reason to upgrade your Samsung TV this year.
We’re also looking forward to seeing how wireless soundbars fit into the home theater scene and whether that glare-free display makes a significant difference to The Frame’s artistic sensibility. Overall, it sounds like a great start.
