Rory McIlroy explains dusty Patrick Reed case in Dubai, says he was served with subpoena on Christmas Eve
Around Tuesday, it was rumored that Patrick Reed had hit a golf ball at Rory McIlroy on the training ground at the 2023 Dubai Desert Classic. McIlroy began his story on Wednesday, detailing the encounter and explaining why. he wasn’t in the mood to talk to the former Masters champion.

Reed himself is not the one to issue the lawsuit as he is still caught up in countless defamation cases against various members of the media.
“I was summoned by his attorney on Christmas Eve,” McIlroy said. “So, of course, trying to have a good time with my family, and someone shows up on your doorstep and delivers it, you just can’t accept that.
