Roller coaster crash at Legoland in Germany injures at least 34 people | World News
More than 30 people have been injured, including two seriously, after two roller coasters collided at an amusement park in southern Germany.
The German news agency dpa reported that a roller coaster braked sharply and another collided with it at the Legoland park in Gunzburg.
Three helicopters were dispatched to the scene, and fire and rescue services were called to help, with at least 34 people injured.
According to a park spokesman, it took place at the train station of the Fire Dragon ride.
Roller coasters have a minimum age of six for accompanying children and eight for those traveling on their own.
Last week, a woman died in another roller coaster crash in an amusement park in Klotten, southwestern Germany.
The 57-year-old woman fell off the roller coaster while it was moving and died from her injuries. The cause of the accident has yet to be determined.
