Robert Morse, ‘Mad Men’ and Broadway Star Dies at 90: NPR

Actor Robert Morse, who began his career on Broadway and later became a ‘Mad Men’ star, has died aged 90. The news was confirmed by Jordan Bell of the BRS talent agency. / Gage, who said via email that Morse “passed away peacefully at home after a brief illness.”
On Broadway, Morse originated the role of J. Pierrepont Finch on How to be successful in business without really trying, for which he won a Tony Award. Six years later, in 1967, he starred in the film version of the musical of the same name. Morse also won a Tony Award for his 1990 one-man show Minus, in which he played Truman Capote. He has been nominated for three other Tony Awards throughout his career.
However, younger viewers will recognize him from the hit AMC TV Crazy men, in which he plays Bertman Cooper, the advertising mogul and founding partner of Sterling Cooper. This role earned him 5 Emmy Award nominations.

Sending love to his son Charlie and his daughter Allyn. Had a lot of fun with Bobby over the years – filming People v OJ and organizing a lot of fun. many screenings (How To Succeed, Loved One, That Life),” he wrote.
