Rivian raises R1T and R1S electric truck prices up to $12,000, adds dual-engine versions

Rivian chief growth officer, Jiten Behl, said: “Like most manufacturers, Rivian is facing inflationary pressures, rising component costs, and shortages and delays. unmatched for parts (including semiconductor chips). “The increase in cost and complexity due to these challenging circumstances necessitates an increase in the prices of the R1T and R1S models we offer today — the initial price set in 2018.”

Behl added that the price increase “will allow us to continue to offer competitive products that maintain the high standards of quality, performance and capabilities that our customers expect and deserve from Rivian. ”
