Return flights to Greece from many US cities start at $551


If you are thinking about visiting Greek This year, now is the time to act. Airlines have reduced fares to this popular Mediterranean destination from various cities in the US.

Round-trip flights to Greece can cost up to $800, but this deal offers at least 30% off regular fares. Fly to the Greek capital Athens or visit the smaller cities of Thessaloniki, Chania and Rhodes. Visit the Parthenon in Athens or stroll through Venice’s quaint Chania Harbour.

Many airlines are offering this offer from November 2022 to May 2023. There are some exclusions for holidays like Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Eve.

Temperatures in Greece are much cooler in late autumn and all winter. However, the deal offers the chance to visit the country’s famous spots without the huge tourist influx.

Remember that some hotels may be closed during the fall and winter months due to lack of demand.

Date of department: Generally November through May, including Thanksgiving Day on some routes, but all routes exclude Christmas and New Year’s Eve.

For the November 23 flight to Athens from New York’s JFK, Google Flights offers two options from Lufthansa and Swiss both priced at $560. The only difference between the two is that the Swiss flight is longer. one hour of travel time. The Lufthansa flight has a stop in Munich, while the Swiss flight has a stop in Zurich.

For Lufthansa, these prices are for the airline’s Economy Class option, which only allows passengers to bring one piece of baggage for free and is non-refundable. Tickets can be rebooked, but Lufthansa attaches a fee. Seat selection also has an additional fee.

This deal is definitely worth doing, and discounted fares are available from many cities in the US. You also have a wide range of cities in Greece to choose from.

However, keep in mind that these cheap fares are usually for basic economy classes, which can be uncomfortable for longer travel times. In addition, the basic economy class can be quite low, requiring additional seat selection and checked baggage fees.
