Relax with more relaxing photography videos

Hopefully these videos will relieve the reader’s stress and maybe you will learn something new along the way.

Maybe I need more coffee, or maybe these videos are just accidental ASMR. Either way, it’s easy to fall asleep in some YouTube videos. Just like before, whenever a relaxing camera-related video pops up on my feed, I’ve added it to this list.

Personally, I find that it’s very easy to get lost in something you love. If something is relaxing and appropriate, it’s easy to get my attention and help me relax. So hopefully these videos will help the week go more smoothly and readers find something interesting.

Leica camera factory

Leica calls the video “The most boring ad ever made?” but I actually found it quite interesting. It’s fascinating to look back at the behind-the-scenes of the production. This is no ordinary factory either. Leica’s craftsmanship and meticulousness are remarkable. So while this is an ad, I think it’s pretty interesting. However, I’m not sure you can get through a whole 45 minutes without falling asleep at all.

Making holsters

On the subject of Leica, I thought I would use this video to demonstrate Korean ingenuity. They are putting together a leather case for the Leica X1. This is the first of the “X” series that Leica has produced, using an APS-C CMOS sensor.

Import cities into blender

There are many great plugins out there that draw from GIS datasets, allowing users to import map data into the creative software of their choice. Geolayers for After Effects is a great example. However, working with data-intensive 3D environments is not really After Effects’ strong point. That’s where this guide comes into play. Blender and the Blender GIS plugin are free and open source.

Edit hair with Capture One

Speaking of tutorials, check out this great Capture One tutorial. Jan Wischermann is their ambassador and hosts live classes on YouTube. Wischermann’s editing methods really appeal to me (even if I don’t follow them) because he gets through so much in 30 minutes. If you’re looking to learn more about Capture One, please check out tutorial with Quentin Decaillet.

Shot with Cinestill’s 400D

Jason Kummerfeldt definitely knows how to maintain the vibe in his videos. As a fan of Cinestill, it was even more interesting to watch him bring their 400D movie to their action and shoot it in suburban Los Angeles. Hopefully, the vibe of this video is something you can sit back and enjoy.

Looking back at Pentax ME Super

Here’s a super-simple preview of Pentax’s 35mm camera from the ’80s. No talking, no fuss. Just a relaxing aura and a vintage camera.

Sony camcorder review

Maybe it’s the age of video, but this is a pretty relaxing review. Sony Hi8 is a famous product in the past. This camera will come out after many failures or flawed efforts to create a more advanced video camera. However, the part that caught my attention was the battery. It’s funny how camera batteries haven’t really changed much over the years. Canon’s C70 has essentially the same battery mounting pattern today.

I hope some of these videos have helped readers take a deep breath and relax. Maybe that’s a welcome change from the obnoxiously loud YouTubers, and maybe you learned something here today, too. If there are any more worthwhile shares, please feel free to mention them in the comments section.
