Hello PlayStation fans! I’m Tsuyoshi Kanda, the producer of Resident Evil Village. Pre-orders for the Winter Expansion, as well as the Resident Evil Village Gold Edition, have just begun. Today, I want to talk about the new characters that are playable in the Mercenary Supplement Order and a special bonus item available with pre-purchase.
Chris Redfield
The first character is someone many of you know well: a hero from throughout the series, Chris Redfield. As a legendary hero, Chris uses many weapons as well as his mighty strength. When you take down an enemy with Chris, his Onslaught Gauge will increase. Once it’s full, you can unleash his unique attack mode. In this mode, Chris’ movement speed, reload speed and attack damage are greatly increased and you can control the entire battlefield. If you can take down an enemy with Straight Punch, you will also get a significant boost to Onslaught Gauge.
The Target Locator is one of the powerful weapons in Chris’ arsenal and is capable of launching a powerful support attack. Make sure you have a clear line of sight to the crowd of enemies you intend to use it on.
Karl Heisenberg
In second was Karl Heisenberg, one of the four lords who served Mother Miranda. This character wields a giant hammer, and is also capable of manipulating the force of a magnetic field. You can charge it up by swinging his hammer and slamming it into the ground, then releasing all of that energy to deal massive damage. By activating Heisenberg’s Magnetic Field, you can draw enemies close to you. Some attacks also become stronger under Magnetic Field.
Of course, Heisenberg also has his terrifying creations. Summon a Soldat Jet to the battlefield to destroy enemies with a swift attack! Be careful, though… they will self-destruct when they hit a wall.
Lady Dimitrescu
Everyone’s favorite third and final character, Alcina Dimitrescu! She was also one of the four lords who served Mother Miranda. With a height of more than 9 meters, Lady Dimitrescu uses her claws to slash through enemies. Her unique Thrill Gauge stat increases when attacking enemies or by using the item “Lady’s Lipstick”. As Thrill Gauge increases, Lady Dimitrescu’s movement speed and claw damage increase, and new moves are also unlocked. When the gauge is maxed, her damage will also be at its highest.
You can summon one of Lady Dimitrescu’s daughters when Thrill Gauge is maxed out.
The mercenary replenishment order includes not only new playable characters, but also new levels. We wanted to share a few screenshots of the stages of Bloody Village and Bloody River.
Street Wolf Outfit
Before we sign up, I want to reveal the pre-order bonus: Street Wolf Outfit. This is the outfit for Rosemary Winters that players can choose from while playing the upcoming storyline DLC, Shadows of Rose. You can see that there is an iconic design of Chris’ Houndwolf Squad on her outfit.
The Winters’ Expansion includes The Mercenaries Extra Order, which we introduced today, a Third Person Mode where you can play the main story mode from a fresh third person perspective, and Shadows of Rose, a The DLC story takes place 16 years after the original Resident Evil Village story. If you choose to purchase the Resident Evil Village Gold Edition, it will also come with the Trauma Pack DLC.
