Random: Doug Bowser takes a trip to Nintendo’s Kyoto headquarters
Nintendo of America President Doug Bowser appears to be chatting with his bosses at the headquarters in Kyoto, Japan. He recently shared photos of the office in a social media post and followed up with photos of the new Osaka store, now open.
Today, the Osaka store is opened at the Daimaru Umeda building in Japan and follows the stores in New York and Tokyo. The goal of the company’s stores is to “not only sell Nintendo-related products” but also act as a touchpoint for consumers to connect with Nintendo.
Head of Xbox, Phil Spencer, who has been busy building out Xbox’s presence in Japan for a while, even left a reply to Doug:
Aside from a visit to the Osaka Nintendo store, it’s unclear what exactly Doug will be doing in Japan at the moment. One request for his role, however, is to contact Nintendo headquarters.
Nintendo also released its latest financial results earlier this week – revealing Switch sales have passed the 114 million mark. That said, hardware sales year-over-year fell 19.2% due to a shortage of semiconductors.
